System Administrator (m/f/d) – Volunteer Position

As a System Administrator (m/f/d), you will become part of our international team and help maintain, improve and develop the IT infrastructure that powers FunkyRomeo.

We are looking for a motivated and reliable System Administrator to support our technical operations in a volunteer position. The position is based in Frankfurt, Germany, with opportunities for remote collaboration.

Your Responsibilities in Our Team

• Maintain, monitor and support our IT systems and infrastructure.

• Plan, implement and improve internal IT projects and technical solutions.

• Manage network infrastructure, firewalls, servers, storage and backup systems.

• Maintain and administer Microsoft 365 and cloud-based services.

• Support users with hardware, software and everyday IT issues.

• Monitor system performance, security and availability.

• Help develop and improve our website and platform infrastructure.

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot hardware and software.

• Work closely with our international team to ensure smooth technical operations.

Who We Are Looking For

• Completed vocational training in IT system administration, system integration or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience with Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.

• Knowledge of servers, networks, firewalls, storage and backup solutions.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud administration is an advantage.

• Understanding of IT security, databases and virtualization.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a structured approach to work.

• Independent, reliable and responsible working style.

• Good communication skills and an interest in working with an international team.

• Motivation to contribute ideas and help FunkyRomeo grow.
